Opportunity:

MRI Tech

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday through Tuesday
* Contract length of 13 to 20 weeks
* No on-call requirement
* Float between NHRMC Ortho and the main hospital required
* Contract staff will be assigned to a Storm Team and/or Hurricane Team and may be required to report during catastrophic events, mass casualty incidents, or disasters
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers will not be accepted
* Recent hospital experience required
* Travel experience required
* Required skills: abdomen, pelvis, head and neck, spine, musculoskeletal, diffusion (non-brain), gradient echo imaging, MIP, MRP, peripheral magnetic resonance, spin echo images, surface coils, T1 and T2, CINE
* Preferred skills: chest, image post-processing
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT-MR
* Special equipment experience required: GE, Siemens
* Documentation system: EPIC
* Patient age groups: neonates, infants, pediatrics (preferred), adolescents, adults, geriatrics (required)
* Scrubs: Royal blue
* Scheduling is per unit needs
* Hospital orientation is held during week one from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM and traveler must be fully available each day

This large healthcare system operates multiple facilities and provides a wide range of medical services to the community. The organization supports a comprehensive imaging department equipped with advanced GE and Siemens MRI technology. The facility utilizes EPIC for documentation and maintains high standards for patient care across all age groups, from neonates to geriatrics. The system has established protocols for disaster and emergency response, requiring contract staff to participate in storm and hurricane team assignments as needed.
