Opportunity:
MS/Tele RN
Job Details:
* Assignment length of 13 weeks or 26 weeks at traveler's choice
* Night shift schedule with choice of 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
* No on-call requirements
* Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs
* May float to like/similar medical-surgical units to meet facility needs
* Block scheduling is not available
* Patient ratios of 1:6 for both bedside RN and CNA across days, nights, and weekends
* Unit operates a Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model pairing one bedside RN with one CNA and one Virtual RN per patient group
* Virtual RN works remotely and assists with admissions, discharges, charting, documentation, patient and family communication, CIWA, and provider coordination
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Surgical patient diagnoses include colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, and wound cases
* Medical patient diagnoses include cancer-related conditions, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder
* Complex trauma patients and general medical patients are also cared for on this unit
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* Charting performed using Epic
* Scrubs are provided by the facility
* Parking is free
* Minimum 1 year of MS/Tele experience required
* First-time travelers are accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of rapid response/code teams, peripheral line care and management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Charting system experience required
* All requested time off must be submitted at the time of submittal
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be considered
* Travel experience preferred
