Job Details:
* 4x12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM (3x12 schedule will also be considered)
* Patient ratio of 1:6-1:7
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs or between like units and sister facilities
* 2 years of Med/Surg experience required
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers will not be considered
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS
* Telemetry experience preferred, including interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
* Skills include: colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, isolation precautions/PPE, oxygen administration, peripheral line care/management, and pre/post hemodialysis management
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Parking at no cost
* Block schedule requests may be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
* Attendance at staff meetings is required
* All assigned modules must be completed prior to start date
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
Facility:
This short-term acute care hospital operates with 97 staffed beds and 41 patient rooms, serving adult and geriatric populations. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary support. The unit manages a wide range of patient diagnoses including CHF, COPD, sepsis, pneumonia, post-surgical care, renal failure, and wound care, among others.
