Opportunity:

RN - Bone Marrow Transplant

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* Every other weekend required
* Call required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Daily census of 14 patients
* Bone marrow transplant experience required; experience administering cells not required
* Perform cell and gene therapy administration
* Administer blood products and chemotherapy and conditioning treatments
* Provide supportive care and triage
* Skills required include: accessing and managing ports, central line care, IV push chemotherapy administration, cytotoxic therapy, stem cell therapies, CAR-T, phlebotomy, isolation precautions/PPE, infusion pump management, and management and disposal of cytotoxic spills
* Experience with hematologic malignancies required
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams
* Required certifications: BLS; Chemo (ONS/ONCC) and OCN preferred
* Michigan nursing license must be in-hand at time of submission (compact license not accepted)
* 2 manager or supervisor references required (charge RNs not accepted)
* No requested time off during first week of contract
* 36 orientation hours required
