L&D Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position with option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* 6 weekend shifts in 6 weeks or every third weekend required
* 2 years of experience preferred; first-time travelers accepted
* Valid Kansas or Compact RN license required at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, AWHONN, NRP - must be in hand at time of submission
* FHM certification also required
* Experience with Epic charting system preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* May float to Postpartum unit as needed based on facility needs
* Care for patient age groups including neonates, infants, adolescents, and adults
* Provide care for laboring patients including high-risk conditions such as pre-eclampsia and diabetes for gestations 34 weeks 0 days and greater
* Perform and assist with C-sections, External Cephalic Versions, and OB triage
* Support Postpartum and Level 2 Special Care Nursery patients
* Skills include but are not limited to: magnesium sulfate therapy, Pitocin administration, external and internal fetal monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, hemorrhage and shock management, and pre-eclampsia/eclampsia care
* 50-mile local radius restriction; local candidates not accepted

Facility:

This facility operates a high-risk Labor & Delivery unit that includes OB Triage, Postpartum, and a Level 2 Special Care Nursery. The unit provides comprehensive obstetric care for a wide range of patient needs, from routine deliveries to complex high-risk cases. The facility supports interdisciplinary care and maintains a robust clinical environment equipped to handle advanced obstetric procedures and neonatal care.
