RN - L&D

Job Details:

* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* 4 weekend shifts per month (Friday or Saturday nights)
* On-call is voluntary; may be placed on call if not needed for scheduled shift
* Must be willing to float to Perinatal if needed
* Must have Epic experience
* Unit includes 4 Triage, 11 LDR, 2 OR, NICU, and Post-Partum with 24/7 OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support
* Treats low and high risk L&D patients
* Patient population includes neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Required skills: use of external fetal monitoring, recognition and treatment of abnormal fetal heart rate patterns, and circulating for C-sections
* Unit systems include SBAR, Omnicell, and eMD Allscripts; Allscripts charting experience preferred
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* RTO must be submitted at time of submittal; no RTO permitted during the first two weeks of assignment
* Maximum of 3 RTO days permitted; 1 holiday RTO may be submitted but is not guaranteed
* Must be willing to work most holidays
* RTO cannot be changed once submitted unless canceling time previously requested

Facility:

This facility operates a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit equipped with triage, LDR rooms, operating rooms, NICU, and post-partum care. The unit provides around-the-clock OB hospitalist and OB anesthesia support and is capable of managing both low and high-risk L&D cases. Robust interdisciplinary support services are available to staff and patients throughout the care continuum.
