Opportunity:

RN - ER

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts per week
* Every other weekend coverage required
* No call or float requirements
* Minimum 3 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Patient ratio of 3:1 across days, nights, and weekends
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC
* Care for patients across all age groups including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Provide care for a combined adult and pediatric emergency department
* Manage and treat conditions including abdominal pain, asthma, CVA, head injuries, traumatic brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, seizures, burns, gunshot wounds, ortho trauma, and traumatic amputations
* Perform skills including arterial line management, central line care, IV vasopressors, continuous IV sedation, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patients, phlebotomy, starting and maintaining IVs, triage, interpretation of dysrhythmias, and management of dysrhythmias
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This healthcare facility operates a combined adult and pediatric emergency department with 14 beds and 14 rooms, averaging 32 visits per day. The facility maintains a daily census of 34 and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and interpretation services. The organization upholds high standards of patient care across all age groups in a community hospital setting.
