Opportunity:
RN - Electrophysiology
Job Details:
* 6-week contract position
* Schedule: 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* No on-call requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience working as an RN in Electrophysiology (EP) required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Any color scrubs permitted
* BLS certification required
* Required cardiac cath lab skills include pacemaker/defibrillator lead extraction/removal and Watchman procedure
* Required electrophysiology skills include arrhythmia induction, cardiac ablation, cardiac mapping, cardioversion, conduction studies, insertion/programming of AICDs, left atrial appendage (LAA) closure, and pacemaker insertion
* Required medication administration skills include antiarrhythmics, antihypertensives, and thrombolytics
* Must be proficient in interpretation and management of dysrhythmias and obtaining 12-lead EKG/ECG
* Patient education skills, especially around lifestyle and medication adherence, required
* Experience in risk factor modification clinics or device clinics preferred
* Familiarity with GLP-1 therapies in AFib management preferred
* Background in cardiac step down, cardiac telemetry, or cardiac ICU is a plus

This Heart & Vascular Clinic provides specialized cardiac care with a focus on electrophysiology and interventional cardiology procedures. The facility supports an interdisciplinary team environment that includes interpretation services, phlebotomy, and unit secretary support. The clinic serves a diverse cardiac patient population and emphasizes quality improvement initiatives alongside comprehensive patient care.
