Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM
* No on-call responsibilities
* Weekend requirement: up to one working weekend shift every 4 weeks
* Holiday requirement: traveler will be required to work at least one holiday period (Christmas: December 24?26 or New Year's: December 31?January 1)
* May be required to float within scope to meet facility needs
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks; called off hours can be broken down to equal one shift
* 2 years of OR RN experience strongly preferred
* First-time travelers accepted
* SC or Multi-State/Compact RN license required
* Required certifications: BLS, Radiation Badge (to be provided by agency)
* Level 1 trauma experience required
* Scrub experience strongly preferred; RNs are trained to both scrub and circulate surgical procedures
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: provided by facility
* Parking permit available for $20 registration fee for garage hang tag; additional fees may apply if parking outside designated garage
* During hurricane season (June through November), all contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams; peak months are August and September

Facility:

This facility is a Level I Trauma Center, teaching facility, and Magnet-designated hospital with 820 total staffed beds. The Main Operating Room features 21 OR suites covering all surgical specialties including Trauma, Transplant, Ortho, Neuro, ENT, GU-GYN, and Robotics. The nursing team consists of 75% Registered Nurses and 25% Certified Surgical Technologists, operating within a busy, dynamic, nurse-driven department that provides cutting-edge technology. Interdisciplinary support services include interpretation services, radiology, pharmacy, and unit secretary. Patients served include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
