Open Position: Dental - Dental Hygienist

Dental Hygienist

Job Details:

* Monday through Thursday shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:30 PM; Friday shifts from 7:30 AM to 12:30 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* 39 hours worked per week
* Closed on major holidays
* Perform routine dental prophylaxis including removal of hard and soft deposits and stains from tooth surfaces
* Polish all surfaces of teeth and apply topical fluoride treatments
* Expose and develop dental radiographs
* Provide oral hygiene instruction, counseling, and nutrition and dietary guidance to patients
* Review medical and dental health histories, take and record blood pressure, and chart dental disease
* Make and confirm patient appointments
* Train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision
* May require access to storage areas where medications are kept and carry out procedures requiring the use of medications
* Utilize Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Associate's degree in Dental Hygiene required
* South Carolina Registered Dental Hygienist license required
* 1 year of experience preferred; no experience required
* Flu vaccine required with no exemptions
