CVICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift position in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers are welcome
* Patient ratio of 1:2 (days, nights, and weekends)
* Every other weekend required
* May float to MSICU, Neuro ICU, or Burn ICU as needed
* Scrub color: Navy
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* Valid OK or Compact RN license required
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, CVVHD/CRRT, Impella management, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, PICC line management, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, sheath removal, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
* Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
* Unit consists of a mix of cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients, with occasional adult medical ICU overflow
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This facility operates a 24-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit with a daily census of approximately 20 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility provides a well-rounded critical care environment caring for both cardiac surgical and cardiac medical patients.
