Opportunity:

Medical-Surgical ICU

Job Details:

* 3x12 day shifts with block scheduling
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period required
* Float required based on schedule
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Treats adult and geriatric patient populations
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital, LTAC, Trauma Level I, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Key skills include arterial line management, ventilator management, blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, BiPAP/CPAP management, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), IV insulin protocols, isolation precautions/PPE, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning (ETT, NT), and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
* Special equipment: CRRT (NXXT Stage)
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This facility operates a Medical-Surgical ICU with a daily census of 14 patients and a capacity of 16 beds across 12 rooms. The unit provides comprehensive critical care services supported by a robust interdisciplinary team. The facility maintains a strong focus on patient safety and quality care, offering access to a wide range of specialty support services to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
