Job Details:

* Night shift position with 48 guaranteed hours
* Patient ratio of 1:6/7 on nights and weekends utilizing team nursing model with support from PCC, RN, and additional staff
* On-call required as needed
* Weekend coverage required as needed
* Weekend block schedule may be considered
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 end-of-year holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) if all three fall within the assignment period; must work at least 1 of 2 holidays if only 2 fall within the assignment
* May be floated between like units or campuses within a 20-mile radius
* Level I Trauma experience required
* Large hospital experience required
* Minimum 2 years of recent Medical Surgical experience required; 3+ years preferred
* At least 1 prior travel assignment required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers accepted only with 3+ years of recent experience
* Must live at least 100 miles from the facility
* Active RN license in the state or compact RN license compliant with NLC guidelines required
* EPIC charting system experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Key skills required: Med/Surg, MS/Tele, starting and maintaining IVs
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics with diagnoses such as CHF, AMI, post cath lab, PPM placements, ablations, and general med/surg conditions
* Must be able to verify rhythm strips, manage drips at set rates, and titrate heparin per protocol
* Interdisciplinary support available including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission; RTO will not be approved after an offer has been presented

This is a short-term acute care facility operating as a Level I Trauma Center with a 48-bed Medical Surgical unit and a daily census of approximately 42 patients. The facility maintains high standards for staffing and patient care, supported by a robust interdisciplinary team.
