Opportunity:

MLS/MLT - Laboratory

Job Details:

* Varied shifts covering evenings and some nights
* Evening shift hours: 1:30 PM to 10:00 PM
* Night shift hours: 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM
* 8-hour shifts
* Rotate every third weekend
* Rotate holidays
* No on-call responsibilities
* ASCP certified MLS or MLT required
* Chemistry experience required: Beckman Coulter AU, DXI, DXA, Diasorin, Remisol, and manual chemistry assays
* Microbiology experience required: all PCRs, micro setups, blood culture identification, and gram stain
* Lab Assistant skills required: highly skilled phlebotomy and specimen processing
* Experience with Sunquest/Clinysis LIS and EPIC EMR required
* Must efficiently manage multiple responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced environment
* Strong communication skills required for working with physicians and interdepartmental staff
* Must exhibit a high level of accuracy and thoroughness in all tasks
* Ability to manage interruptions without losing momentum or clarity of purpose
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) via ASCP, or Certified Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) via ASCP
* Acute care setting
* Charting system: EPIC
