Opportunity:

Pharmacy Technician

Job Details:

* Missouri pharmacy technician license required prior to submittal - must be current, active, and in good standing
* Work 40 hours per week with varying shifts
* Combination of day and evening shifts - no overnight shifts required
* Cover every other weekend
* Work in a decentralized pharmacist model
* Perform duties including refilling Pyxis machines, filling first doses, IV sterile compounding, non-sterile compounding, packaging unit dose medications, answering phones, assisting pharmacists, and refilling code blue trays
* Operate Pyxis ES and Dose Edge equipment (knowledge preferred)
* Use Meditech documentation system
* No on-call requirements
* No floating policy
* Clean scrubs required as dress code

This medical center is a 285-bed hospital featuring a decentralized pharmacy model supported by a robust technician team across multiple shifts. The Department of Pharmacy operates with five technicians on day shift, one mid shift, two evening shifts, and two overnight shifts, ensuring comprehensive pharmaceutical coverage around the clock. The facility utilizes modern pharmacy technology and systems to support efficient and accurate medication management for patients.
