Open Position: RN - PACU

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2668.20

Opportunity:

RN - PACU

Job Details:

* Option to work 4x10 shifts (no call) or 3x12 shifts (with call)
* Monday through Friday schedule - must be open to working any days Monday through Friday
* Block scheduling and specific days off cannot be accommodated
* Scheduling preferences may be considered but are not guaranteed
* Scheduling requests due to additional employment will not be considered
* No weekend requirements
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* Minimum 2 years of PACU experience required
* First-time travelers must have 3+ years of PACU experience
* Must be a well-rounded RN with experience in all types of surgery
* Patient ratio is 1:2 during day shifts
* Cares for patients of all age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Provides post-anesthesia care following a wide range of surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, neurosurgery, gynecologic, urologic, cardiovascular, GI, ENT, thoracic/abdominal, vascular, and plastic surgery
* Charting system: Epic (experience required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Parking is free
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO and scheduling requests must be submitted upfront at time of submittal
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility

Facility:

This acute care hospital is a 320-bed facility with a 17-bed PACU unit averaging a daily census of 40 patients. The facility supports a comprehensive range of surgical specialties and offers interdisciplinary support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, phlebotomy, interpretation services, and unit secretary support. The organization maintains high standards for patient care across all age groups and surgical disciplines.
