Job Details:
* 3x12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* Patient ratios of 1:4 on days and 1:5 on nights
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Float between 2 MS/Tele units and must be open to floating where most needed
* May float to Cardiac/Observation Unit, Stroke Unit, Ortho/Trauma and Total Joint Unit, Orthopedic Spine Unit, and Palliative/Peritoneal Dialysis/Thyroid Ablation Unit
* All RNs will be required to float to the Cardiac Monitoring Room
* Traveler will be working in a flex pool
* Looking for well-rounded travelers with ICU/PCU experience preferred, but strong MS/Tele experience will be considered
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Daily census dependent on unit floated to, ranging from 20 to 28 patients
* Standard med surg/tele equipment used including Bladder Scanner, IV Ultrasound Placement Equipment, EKG Machine, and Remote Telemetry monitoring
* Liko lifts available in almost all patient rooms
* Charting system: Cerner (experience preferred)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Free parking available
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Locals accepted
* Blocked scheduling considered depending on unit needs with unit manager approval
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active, unrestricted Arizona RN license or valid participating compact license required
Facility:
This short-term acute care teaching facility is a Level IV Trauma center with 87 total staffed beds. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services (including onsite Navajo interpreters), phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The facility maintains high standards for quality and patient safety, including medication administration through BCMA protocols.
