Job Details:
* Assignment length of 13 or 26 weeks at traveler's choice
* Night shift schedule with choice of 3x12 or 4x12 shifts per week
* Guaranteed 60 hours per 2-week period with the possibility of being called off for one 12-hour shift per 2 weeks
* Patient ratio of 1:6 for bedside RN and CNA
* Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend and is subject to staffing needs
* May float to like/similar units to meet facility needs
* Block scheduling is not available
* Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certification: BLS
* Required skills: MS/Tele, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, use of Rapid Response/Code teams, peripheral line care/management, nasal cannula, oxygen administration, oxygen tanks, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Charting system: Epic
* Scrubs are provided
* Parking is free
* Co-Care/Virtual Nursing Model is utilized on this unit, pairing one bedside RN with one CNA and one Virtual RN per patient group
* Virtual RN assists with admissions, discharges, charting and documentation, patient and family communication, and care coordination
* Care for adult and geriatric patients with surgical diagnoses including colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, and wound care
* Care for medical patients with diagnoses including cancer, lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submittal
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Alaska RN license required; pending license accepted but must be in hand for auto offer and license application must be completed within 48 hours of signing
