Open Position: Respiratory Therapist - Registered Respiratory Therapist

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Guaranteed 36 hours per week
* NICU and/or PICU experience is a hard requirement
* Required skills include Emergency Department, level 1 trauma facility, NICU, pediatric critical care, and pediatrics
* Experience working with servo ventilators, nitric oxide, and high frequency oscillators required
* Proficiency with a wide range of respiratory skills including BiPAP, CPAP, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), intubation assist, tracheostomy care/management, mechanical ventilation weaning, and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, and adults
* Charting system experience required; EPIC charting system used
* Scrub color: Any or facility-branded t-shirts/jackets
* Maximum of 2 RTO requests allowed; all RTO must be finalized at time of submission
* Required certifications: BLS, RRT, NRP (preferred), PALS (preferred)
* Trauma Level I experience preferred

Facility:

This is a children's acute care teaching hospital with 400 staffed beds and a daily census of approximately 320 patients. The facility provides comprehensive pediatric services and supports interdisciplinary care through interpretation services and rapid response teams. The hospital is equipped with advanced specialty technology and focuses on high-acuity pediatric and neonatal patient populations.
