Special Procedures Technologist

Job Details:

* Support Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Block scheduling with attempts made to schedule as consistently as possible
* Weeknight and weekend call required
* On-call requirement: 2-hour callback minimum, 8 call days within a 4-week period, 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks Friday through Monday
* 24 hours on-call Saturday and Sunday
* Daily caseload of approximately 15 patients
* Float within cath lab unit only; no floating to sister facilities required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Electronic charting experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Must work with patient age groups including adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics
* Top procedures include: Structural Heart (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman), IR, Neuro, Vascular, Cardiac, and EP
* Common equipment includes: Philips imaging systems, Philips Xper hemo system, Philips IVUS/IFR/FFR, Boston IVUS IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave
* Required skills include: Angioplasty, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, PCI, PTCA, Left and Right Heart Catheterization, Embolization, EVAR, TEVAR, Rotablator Atherectomy, Thrombolysis/Thrombectomy, Carotid Angiography, Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography, Scrub Procedures, Sterile Technique, IABP Placement/Removal, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
* Required certifications: ACLS, ARRT (R), BLS, and State License

This facility is a large, full-service healthcare organization with 220 beds and 5 procedural rooms operating within the cath lab unit. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more. The organization handles a high-acuity patient population with advanced procedural capabilities across multiple cardiovascular and interventional specialties.
