Opportunity:

RN - Cardiopulmonary Telemetry and Neuro

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Day shift position with every other weekend requirement
* First to float, with possibility of floating to a sister facility
* Unit ratio of 1:3-4 patients per nurse
* 26-bed Cardiopulmonary Telemetry and Neuro unit
* Minimum 2 years of recent experience required (within the past 6 months)
* Must be able to interpret EKGs with centralized telemetry monitoring
* Experience with Airvo/High Flow ventilators required
* Charting system: Cerner
* Scrub color: Navy
* Hospital can cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (maximum 2 attempts, no exceptions)
* Pass/fail Simulation Lab on day one of orientation (study guides provided)
* 2 days of floor-specific orientation included
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* BSN not required
* Common diagnoses include neuro, CVAs, pulmonary conditions, and general telemetry cases

This Level 1 Trauma acute care facility operates a dedicated Cardiopulmonary Telemetry and Neuro unit supported by a robust team of healthcare professionals. The facility provides around-the-clock respiratory therapy and pharmacy services, with hospitalists rounding during the day and available on call at night. The unit benefits from Patient Care Technicians, charge nurses without patient assignments, and dedicated management support to ensure high-quality patient care.
