Opportunity:

Medical Assistant - Outpatient Clinic

Job Details:

* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend shifts required
* Floating required externally to other Internal Medicine and Family Medicine clinics
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Primary location at Santa Monica Blvd with float location in Marina Del Rey
* Draw 1-5 vials of blood from every patient in a high-volume clinic
* Recent experience and proficiency with venipuncture required
* Perform specimen collection, patient history intake, rooming, and vital signs
* Administer medications and immunizations
* Obtain 12-lead EKG/ECG readings
* Conduct urinalysis, wound care, nebulizer treatments, and ear lavage
* Perform hearing screenings, vision testing, and pregnancy-related procedures
* Handle telephone triage, follow-up phone calls, and pharmacy/patient refill requests
* Treat patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* 2 years of outpatient clinic experience required
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* BLS certification required (AHA or ARC only)
* High school diploma or GED required
* 2 supervisor references from within the past 1 year of employment required at time of submission
