Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Room
Job Details:
* Work in a 24-hour, seven days a week Emergency Department with a Physician on duty at all times
* Permanent full-time position
* Assess patients presenting for emergency care and triage based on history, physical assessment, and chief complaint
* Provide comprehensive nursing care for acutely ill and/or critically ill patients
* Administer therapeutic measures as prescribed by the physician including medication administration, intravenous fluids, and blood transfusions
* Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and service providers to ensure optimal patient care
* Initiate patient education plans as prescribed by a physician
* Clean and bandage wounds
* Record all care information concisely, accurately, and efficiently in the appropriate format
* At least 2 years of professional nursing experience required, preferably with 1 year in an Emergency Room setting
* Associate degree, bachelor's degree, or higher level degree or diploma from an accredited professional nursing educational program required
* Must possess a current, active, full, and unrestricted nursing license from a US state or territory
* Must have current certification or willingness to obtain ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NRP, and CPR
* Ability to lift 20-50 lbs and perform lifting and/or transferring of patients as needed
* Must be able to walk, stand, and sit for extended periods of time
* Ability to work with minimal to no supervision
