PACU RN

Job Details:

* Work Monday through Friday from 10:00 PM to 10:30 PM
* Unit is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
* Unit is covered with call on holidays
* Must work 2 major holidays out of the following 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day
* Must work 1 minor holiday from the following: Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve
* Minimum of 2 years of recent PACU experience required
* Required certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, and NIHSS
* Cerner experience required
* Care for higher acuity patients in a post-anesthesia care setting
* Cases include thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery patients
* Work under the oversight of a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
* No local candidates within 50 miles considered

This healthcare facility operates a fast-paced PACU unit open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, handling a diverse range of higher acuity surgical cases. The unit manages post-operative care across multiple surgical specialties including thoracic, orthopedic, neurology, vascular, urology, and general surgery. The unit is supported by experienced charge nurses and supervisors to ensure high standards of patient care are consistently maintained.
