Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg (Acute Care, Night Shift)

Job Details:

* 12-hour night shifts with weekends scheduled as needed
* Typically scheduled for 1 out of every 2 weekends
* No standby or on-call requirement
* Patient ratio of 1:6/7 - must be comfortable with ratios up to 1:7
* 30-bed acute care unit
* Common patient diagnoses include CHF, COPD, cellulitis, cholecystitis, appendicitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI
* Required to titrate heparin drips based on aPTT results
* Telemetry monitored remotely by monitor technicians
* Intermittent BiPAP used on unit; no ventilators
* PCTs available on the unit to assist with patient care
* Charge RN on the floor with assignment
* Floating may be required based on census - travelers are first to float
* Scheduling managed through Qgenda
* Cancellation policy: 2 shifts per 13-week contract
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* Must reside outside of a 50-mile radius
* Copy of unexpired driver's license required at time of submission
