Cath Lab Tech

Job Details:

* 4x10 day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM or 5x8 shifts from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM as needed
* On-call required: 1 weekday and 1 weekend every 4-6 weeks, including holidays
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Travel experience required
* 1.5-2 years of experience required
* Work setting experience required: Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, and Special Procedures including participation in diagnostic and interventional cardiology along with endovascular peripheral intervention
* Work setting experience preferred: Electrophysiology (EP) Lab and Interventional Radiology
* Perform endovascular procedures on patients leading to the diagnosis and treatment of cardiac and peripheral vascular disease
* Monitor patient hemodynamic status, document during procedures, and scrub during endovascular procedures to assist the physician
* Required skills include: Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Hemodynamic Monitoring, IABP Placement/Removal, Impella Insertion, Laser Assisted Procedures, Left and Right Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Pulmonary Artery (PA) Line Insertion, Rotablator Atherectomy, Temporary Pacemaker, Angioplasty, Embolization, IVC Filter Placement, Stent Placement, Upper and Lower Extremity Angiography, and Vascular Closure Systems (Perclose, StarClose)
* Equipment experience required: Siemens, PACS
* Procedural responsibilities include: Accurate monitoring, equipment setup, prep access site, recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias, room circulator, and scrub to maintain sterile field
* Treats patient age groups including adults and geriatrics
* Charting system: Cerner (preferred experience)
* Scrubs provided
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS/BCLS, ARRT
* Preferred certification: ARRT CI
* WV Medical Imaging/RT license required to operate fluoroscopy machines in the lab
* Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology required
* Must be registered by the A.R.R.T., R.T.(R)
