MS Ortho Unit

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts
* Patient ratio of 1:6 for days, nights, and weekends
* Half of scheduled shifts will include weekend coverage
* Float required
* 36-bed unit
* 2 years of nursing experience required
* Travel experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and II experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Serves patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Required skills include: accessing/managing ports, blood product administration, central line blood draw, colostomy/ileostomy management, CVA care, feeding tube care and management, heparin administration, high flow nasal cannula, insulin administration, isolation precautions/PPE, ortho trauma, PCA, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, renal failure management, spinal cord injury care, starting and maintaining IVs, surgical drains, telemetry remote monitoring, total joint replacement, tracheostomy care/management, traumatic brain injury care, use of rapid response/code teams, and wound care/wound vac
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation
