Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts, either 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM or 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 36 guaranteed hours per week
* 13-week assignment length
* Work every other weekend as well as some holidays
* No on-call requirements
* 2+ years of hospital or specialty experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Active Texas RN license required - temporary licenses will not be accepted
* NIH certification required
* Telemetry monitoring experience required
* Ability to interpret and manage dysrhythmias preferred
* Knowledge of cardiac medications preferred
* Knowledge of IV drip management including insulin, heparin, and other cardiac drips preferred
* Perform IV insertion and management, management of lines and drains, and post care of cardiac catheterization, pacemaker placement or revision, and vascular surgery
* Document utilizing Meditech (EBCD) charting system
* Use of AIDET communication framework required
* Practice unit standards including communication boards, hourly rounding, and bedside shift report
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced clinical setting and effectively collaborate with a team
* Effective communication with patients and de-escalation techniques required
* Required to float per facility floating policy
* Scrub color: Navy scrub top and pants, navy or white scrub jacket
* Nails must be clean and healthy
* Hair should be neat and clean with no extreme styles or colors; beards, mustaches, and sideburns should be neatly trimmed
* Body art should be covered whenever possible
* Visible piercings other than ears are prohibited
