Opportunity:

RN - Medical Cardiac Tele

Job Details:

* 12-hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Every other weekend requirement or less
* Holiday assignments on a rotation basis
* On-call requirement as last resort for travelers
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for assignments less than 13 weeks
* Nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 on day shift and 1:6 on night shift
* 32-bed unit focused on Medical Cardiac patients including CHF diagnoses
* Required to titrate drips including Amiodarone, Heparin, Insulin, and Cardizem
* Work alongside charge nurses who take patient assignments and patient care technicians handling vitals, bathing, blood glucose, phlebotomy, and ADLs
* Manage patients on High Flow oxygen and BiPap for less than 24 hours
* Read telemetry strips each shift using GE telemetry monitors with virtual monitoring support
* Chart using EPIC electronic health record system
* Self-scheduling and block scheduling options available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA)
* Medical Cardiac experience required
* Active nursing license required

This acute care facility operates a 32-bed Medical Cardiac Telemetry unit providing specialized care for patients with cardiac conditions. The unit utilizes advanced GE telemetry monitoring systems with virtual monitoring support and offers a collaborative environment with charge nurses, patient care technicians, and respiratory therapy resources. The facility uses EPIC as its primary charting system and maintains flexible scheduling options to support its nursing staff.
