Open Position: RN - Short Stay

Opportunity:

RN - Pre-Op/Short Stay

Job Details:

* Work in a 13-bed Pre-Op/Short Stay unit with a 3:1 patient ratio
* Day shift position - unit is closed for night shift
* Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC, 3 Pre-Op RNs, 1 Phase 2 RN, and 1 PCT
* Rotating weekend call required from Saturday 7:00 AM to Monday 7:00 AM, approximately 1 weekend every 4-5 weeks
* Ability to take rotating weekday and weekend call preferred
* Float to Pre-Op, Phase 2, and PAT areas as needed
* Perform and assist with procedures including General Surgery, Orthopedics, Plastics, and Cath Lab cases
* Utilize equipment including EKGs, glucometer, and bedside monitoring
* Work with electronic medical records using Meditech Magic - experience required
* Pre-Op experience required
* Competency in Pre-Op/Phase 2 experience preferred
* Excellent IV skills preferred
* Required certification: BLS
* Scrub color: Navy
* Flexible schedule and motivation to learn new skills preferred

This facility is a modern healthcare campus located on the second floor of a dedicated medical building. The unit operates as a Pre-Op/Short Stay department supporting a wide range of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, plastics, and cardiology. The facility utilizes electronic medical records and maintains a collaborative team environment focused on quality patient care across multiple care areas.
