Open Position: RN - Med Surg

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2061.88

Opportunity:

RN - Med/Surg Post-Op

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
* 2 weekends (4 shifts) required per 4-week schedule
* 34-bed Post-Op Med/Surg unit with a 6:1 patient ratio
* Tech support available on both day and night shifts
* Unit secretary available from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Document using Meditech electronic documentation system
* Operate equipment including IV pumps, telemetry, SCDs, continuous pulse ox machines, feeding pumps, PCA, EKG machines, bladder scanner, and iMobile communication technology
* Provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and family members
* Conduct bedside shift report and include patients and family members in plan of care
* Required skills include ability to prioritize care, multitask, start IVs, perform basic wound care, and maintain surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes
* Med/Surg experience required
* Active RN license required
* Required certification: BLS
* Navy scrubs (tops and bottoms) required as dress code
* Contract labor is first to float with rotation when multiple contract staff are scheduled
