RN - MS/IMC

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend and holiday required
* No on-call or standby requirement unless picking up an extra shift
* Block scheduling available if it meets unit needs; Fri/Sat/Sun option available
* Can work 36 hours per week
* Floating to other units as needed based on census
* Nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 on days through 2300; 1:5-6 on nights after 2300
* Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in a busy hospital environment required
* Experience with post-procedural cath lab patients required
* Experience managing TR band compression devices, chest pain, and post cardiac surgical patients required
* Care for cardiac medical and surgical patients including post cath lab (stent, pacemaker, ICD, watchman, mitral clip, TAVR) and post cardiac surgery (CABG, valve replacements, AFib, chest pain, CHF, arrhythmias, syncope, bradycardia with temporary pacemaker)
* Required to titrate drips including Nitroglycerin, Heparin, Diltiazem, Amiodarone, Lasix, Bumex, and Dobutamine (no vasopressors)
* 24/7 central telemetry unit monitors all non-critical care patients and reads strips
* Respiratory therapy available 24/7 for nebulizers, inhalers, CPAP, BiPAP, and Vapotherm; RNs responsible for incentive spirometry
* Nurse aides available on unit
* Charting system: Cerner
* BSN not required
* No scrubs provided; no required scrub color
* Unit orientation includes 1 shift of HR onboarding and 1 shift on the unit
* Required certifications: ACLS, ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA)

Facility:

This acute care facility is a Level 2 Trauma Center offering comprehensive medical and surgical services. The 29-bed unit specializes in cardiac medical and surgical care, supported by a 24/7 central telemetry monitoring system and round-the-clock respiratory therapy services. The facility maintains a collaborative care model with charge nurses, nurse aides, and respiratory therapists working together to deliver high-quality patient care.
