Job Details:

* Monday through Friday schedule
* Call required: 1 weekday call and every 4 weeks Friday 4:00 PM through Monday 7:00 AM
* 1 weekend shift per contract
* Average daily census of 25 patients
* 3 rooms available in the unit
* Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Work setting: Interventional Radiology
* Epic charting system experience required
* Scrubs provided
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ARRT R, BLS, and Ohio license
* Required procedures include chest tube placement, embolization, IVC filter placement and removal, stent placement, and thoracentesis
* Genitourinary procedures include catheter/drain exchange, embolization, and internal/external biliary drainage
* Vascular procedures include TIPS and central venous access/port placement
* Venous access responsibilities include central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines)
* Equipment operation includes fluoroscopy and PACS
* Procedural responsibilities include equipment setup, prep access site, and maintaining sterile field
* Professional skills required include isolation precautions and use of rapid response/code teams
* Sterile technique required for infection control
* Floating to other units and/or facilities may be required
* Locals within a 50-mile radius are not accepted

This healthcare facility operates a comprehensive Interventional Radiology unit supported by a robust team of in-house providers available 24/7, including intensivists, nurse practitioners, CRNAs, hospitalists, and anesthesiologists. The unit provides a wide range of interdisciplinary support services including respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, lift teams, rapid response teams, transportation, and unit secretarial support, ensuring a well-rounded and collaborative care environment.
