RN - Labor & Delivery

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shift schedule with no on-call responsibilities
* Weekend coverage required
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Advanced
* California state license required in-hand when applying
* Two supervisor references required when applying
* Experience with Labor & Delivery, triage of obstetrical patients, and use of external fetal heart monitoring required
* Must be proficient in circulating and recovering C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, and antepartum care
* Experience with high-risk antepartum including pre-eclampsia/eclampsia, HELLP syndrome, preterm labor, and multiple gestation preferred
* Ability to administer blood products and manage IV infusions including Magnesium Sulfate, Pitocin, and antihypertensives required
* Neonatal resuscitation, newborn assessment, and APGAR scoring experience required
* Experience with breastfeeding support, lactation support, and discharge teaching to parents preferred
* Community-level experience with facility births per month between 100-200 preferred
* Patient age groups include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* One pre-approved time off day allowed per contract

This healthcare facility provides comprehensive Labor & Delivery services supporting a broad spectrum of obstetrical care, from low-risk deliveries to high-risk antepartum cases. The facility delivers between 100 and 200 births per month and is equipped to handle complex maternal and neonatal conditions. The organization utilizes Epic as its primary charting system and maintains high standards for traveler compliance and patient safety.
