Job Details:

* Work three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Weekend rotation required with one weekend night shift per week
* May be asked to work 8-hour shifts during the week in rotation
* Call requirements include 3-4 weeknight call shifts per 4-week period and 1 weekend call shift per 4-week period
* Call response time is 45 minutes
* Must have Level 1 trauma center experience
* Must be well-rounded in case types including trauma, ortho, neuro, cardiac, and exploratory laparotomy
* Experience scrubbing and/or circulating Neuro, Ortho, and Trauma cases required
* Scrubbing ability is a bonus but not required for RNs
* Travel experience preferred
* No floating requirements
* Self-scheduling available within reason; block scheduling not guaranteed
* 23 operating suites with an average of 75 cases per day
* Charge nurse present on all shifts
* EMR system: EPIC
* Hospital-issued scrubs required
* All travelers are required to take the same amount of call as permanent staff
* Required certification: BLS

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a large perioperative department with 23 operating suites and handles approximately 75 cases per day. The facility is a Level 1 trauma center equipped to handle a wide range of complex surgical cases including neuro, ortho, trauma, and cardiac procedures. The organization utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system and maintains a structured call center system to support around-the-clock surgical needs.
