Job Details:
* Weekend shifts run Friday through Sunday or Saturday through Monday
* Call required - typically one weekday of call per week and one weekend every 5 to 6 weeks
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed, including to Main OR
* Minimum 2 years of experience required - first time travelers accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:1
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Required skills include: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous fistula repair, Carotid angioplasty, Carotid artery stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft (CABG), Femoral popliteal bypass graft, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), Lobe resection, MAZE Procedure, Mitral valve replacement, Scrub Cardiovascular Surgery, Scrub Thoracic Surgery, Scrub Vascular Surgery, Thoracotomy, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), VATS (Video-Assisted Thoracic Surgery), and Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD/RVAD)
* No self-scheduling - block schedules are not honored
* Travel pairs are not accepted on this unit
* If one major holiday falls within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it; if two major holidays fall within the assignment period, both are expected to be worked; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, two of the holidays must be worked
* Major holidays include: Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* All RTO must be finalized at time of submission - no RTO or schedule requests can be made post-offer or on-site
* No RTO can be requested during orientation week (Monday through Sunday)
* Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services and interpretation services
