Job Details:

* Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* 4x12 or 3x12 shift options available
* Weekday and weekend shifts required with 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Work on a 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Treat adult patient population
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (through American Heart Association)
* Charting system: Cerner
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Unit Secretary
* Skills required include telemetry interpretation, dysrhythmia interpretation, blood product administration, central line care/management, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, heparin protocols, PCA management, and IV placement and maintenance
* Permanent address must be 100+ miles from the facility
* Facility has a strict attendance policy and will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract

This facility operates a dynamic 34-bed medical/surgical unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit fosters a collaborative environment where registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical assistants, unit clerks, and patient care technicians work together to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Clinical nurse coordinators provide leadership on every shift, facilitating daily huddles, managing patient flow, and rounding on patients, while nurse management maintains an active daily presence on the unit.
