Opportunity:
Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool RN
Job Details:
* Work 3x12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, 36 hours per week
* Every other weekend required with holiday rotation
* Patient ratios of 1:2 to 1:3
* Float pool position with no home unit - RN will float to all Pediatric units including CVPICU, NICU, and PICU
* Minimum 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience required
* South Carolina or Multi-State/Compact State RN License required
* Required certifications: BLS and PALS (American Heart Association only)
* ECMO and CRRT experience preferred
* Required skills include: Anti-Seizure Medications, BiPAP/CPAP management, Care of Ventilated Patient, Care/maintenance of acute airway, Central Line/Implanted Port Care, Continuous Sedation, ICP monitoring, Infection Control/PPE, Interpretation of Arterial Blood Gases (ABGs), Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Isolation Precautions/PPE, IV vasopressors, Management of Chest Tubes, Management of dysrhythmias, Pediatric Dosage Calculations, PICC line management, and PICU experience
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Block schedule available with manager approval based on unit needs
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams
