Job Details:

* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* Night shift schedule working 3x12 or 4x12 hours, including weekdays and weekends
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7
* Daily census of 25-30 patients in a 34-bed unit
* Manage acute medical-surgical patients with a wide range of diagnoses and care needs
* Charting system: Cerner (experience required)
* No scrubs provided
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Blocked schedule: unit cannot guarantee schedule requests but will try to accommodate travelers
* Facility will only tolerate 2-3 call-offs per contract
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (must be through American Heart Association)
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, chest tube management, CVA care, feeding tube care, heparin and insulin administration, interpretation of ABGs and dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, tracheostomy care, wound care/wound vac, and use of rapid response/code teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* WV or Compact nursing license required; pending license accepted for submission
* Candidates must have a permanent address 100+ miles from the facility
