Opportunity:

Medical-Surgical ICU

Job Details:

* 3x12 night shifts with block scheduling
* Weekend coverage required with 6 shifts per 6-week period
* Patient ratios of 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* LTAC experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Float required based on schedule
* Charting system: Epic (required)
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Special equipment: CRRT (NXXT Stage)
* Key skills include arterial line management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, continuous IV sedation, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of arterial blood gases, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV insulin protocols, management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction and failure, PICC line management, starting and maintaining IVs, suctioning, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, and ventilator management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

This healthcare facility operates a Medical-Surgical ICU with 16 beds across 12 rooms, maintaining a daily census of 14 patients. The unit is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team and offers access to a wide range of specialty services. The facility prioritizes high-quality patient care and maintains robust support systems to assist clinical staff in delivering exceptional outcomes for adult and geriatric populations.
