Job Details:

* Night shift position working 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Schedule options: 4x12 or 3x12 night shifts
* 3 weekend shifts per 4-week scheduling period
* 13-week contract with possibility of extension
* 34-bed medical/surgical unit with telemetry monitoring
* Patient ratios of 1:5-7 with a daily census of approximately 30 patients
* Serves adult patient population
* Charting system: Cerner
* 2+ years of RN experience required
* Travel experience not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (through American Heart Association)
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Scrubs not provided
* Maximum of 2-3 call offs permitted per contract
* Key skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line care and management, CVA care, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula, interpretation of dysrhythmias and arterial blood gases, isolation precautions/PPE, telemetry and remote monitoring, PICC line management, wound care/wound vac, tracheostomy care, and PCA management
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and pharmacy

Facility:

This facility features a dynamic 34-bed medicine unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The unit is supported by an experienced team of registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, clinical assistants, unit clerks, and patient care technicians who collaborate to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. An acuity tool is utilized to optimize patient assignments and ensure appropriate staffing levels. Clinical nurse coordinators provide leadership on every shift, facilitating daily huddles, managing patient flow, and rounding on patients, with nurse manager maintaining an active daily presence on the unit.
