LPN - Long Term Care

Job Details:

* 8-hour night shift (NOC) schedule
* Every other weekend required
* Patient ratios of 1:15-25
* Float required between Long Term Care and Transitional Care units; typically 3 shifts/24 hours spent in TCU with remaining time floating to other areas
* Block schedule available upon request
* Guaranteed hours: facility may call off traveler up to 1 shift per pay period (every two weeks)
* Previous charge experience required
* Minimum 2 years of Skilled Long Term Care or Transitional Care experience required
* Minimum 1 year of travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Primary patient population: geriatrics
* Daily census of approximately 170 patients; facility has 207 beds
* Charting system: Net Solutions
* Required certifications: BLS, Active LPN License
* Required skills: IV insertion and maintenance, Central Line blood draw, Central Line dressing change, IV pumps, wound care/wound vac, wound drains/JP/Hemovac
* Special equipment used: IV pumps, PVR, wound vacs
* Interdisciplinary support available: Physical Therapy, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation
* Reliable personal transportation required with no additional scheduling restrictions
* Dress code: Business Casual; scent-free environment (no cologne, perfume, or aftershave); natural nails kept at fingertip length, no fake or artificial nails; no spandex gym wear, open toe or backless shoes, exposed flesh including cleavage, sleeveless tops, ripped or torn jeans, sunglasses, shorts, or skirts shorter than mid-thigh
* Parking: Free
* No on-call required
* Locals accepted within a 50-mile radius

This facility is a Long Term Care and Transitional Care unit with 207 beds and a daily census of approximately 170 patients. The facility primarily serves a geriatric patient population and provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including Physical Therapy, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation. The facility maintains high clinical standards and requires experienced travelers with specific skill sets to support their patient population.
