Job Details:

* 8-hour evening shifts
* Every other weekend required; CNAs follow a three-week pattern working two weekends with the third off
* No on-call required
* Patient ratios: 1:8 on days, 1:22 on nights, with a general range of 1:15-25
* Float required between Long-Term Care and Transitional Care Unit; typically 3 shifts/24 hours spent in TCU with remaining time floating to other areas
* May be expected to float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* Facility may call off traveler up to 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks)
* 24 orientation hours required
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Daily census of 170 with 207 total beds
* Reliable transportation required; travel pairs must have their own transportation
* Business casual attire required
* Charting system: Net Solutions; charting system experience required
* Parking is free
* Special equipment includes Hoyer lift, PVR, and Sit to Stand
* 1 year of skilled long-term care or transitional care experience required
* Travel experience required
* Required certification: BLS
* Washington state license required; compact license must be in hand at submission
* 2 references required covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years
* Required skills include: vital sign monitoring, patient ambulation assistance, feeding assistance, turning and repositioning, bed baths, foot care, glucometer use, Hoyer lift operation, isolation precautions/PPE, mouth care, blood pressure monitoring, pulse and respiration monitoring, temperature monitoring, oxygen tank management, perineal care, pressure injury prevention, pulse oximetry, safe patient transfers, skin care, and incontinence care

Facility:

This long-term care and transitional care facility serves a diverse adult and geriatric patient population with a capacity of 207 beds and a daily census of approximately 170 patients. The facility provides comprehensive care across both long-term care and transitional care units, supported by an interdisciplinary team and modern equipment including Hoyer lifts, PVR, and Sit to Stand devices. The organization maintains high standards of patient care and offers a structured scheduling environment with floating opportunities across units.
