Job Details:

* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* Weekend coverage required
* On-call required on weekends and as needed; on-call shift hours are 0800?1830, with call beginning at 1830?0700; weekend call is 0700?0700
* Self-scheduling with no block schedule accommodation
* Patient ratio of 1:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Charting system: Epic
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; NIHSS preferred
* Patient age groups include neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include stroke, trauma, dialysis, cold legs, and embolizations
* Facility is a comprehensive stroke center and level 1 trauma center
* Must be comfortable using lead shielding and working with special IR equipment
* Required skills include but are not limited to: interventional radiology procedures, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, angioplasty, embolization, cardiac catheterization, stent placement, TAVR, TIPS, endovascular interventions, IABP placement and removal, Impella insertion, scrubbing and circulating procedures, activated clotting time (ACT), arrhythmia management, IV vasopressors, thrombolytics, and interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, rapid response teams, and more

Facility:

This large-scale healthcare facility operates with a daily census of 995 patients and handles approximately 36 visits per day within a 6-room interventional radiology unit. The facility functions as a comprehensive stroke center and level 1 trauma center, offering a wide range of advanced interventional and specialty services. Robust interdisciplinary support is available, including pharmacy, rapid response teams, respiratory services, radiology, physical therapy, and more, ensuring a collaborative and well-supported clinical environment.
