Job Details:

* 3x12 or 4x12 day shift schedule available
* On-call required
* Weekend shifts required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Minimum 3 years of experience required
* Level III NICU experience required
* At least 1 year of NICU experience required
* Must be able to attend deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation in the OR and at deliveries
* Must be able to perform baby admissions
* Cares for neonates 27 weeks and above in the NICU; attends all gestational ages at delivery for stabilization and transfer if under 27 weeks
* Patient ratio of 2:1 during day shifts
* Self-scheduling environment; no floating required
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Epic charting system experience required
* Compact nursing license must be in hand at time of submission
* Scrub color: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
* Free parking available
* 24-hour orientation provided
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* Travelers may be expected to float between nearby sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours
* Required skills include: administration of blood and blood products, arterial line management, Bubble CPAP, central line blood draw, chest tube management, HFNC, neonatal dosage calculations, UAC/UVC management, surfactant administration, and more

Facility:

This acute care hospital has 277 total staffed beds and provides comprehensive NICU services at a Level III designation. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including respiratory services, interpretation services, social services, and pharmacy. The NICU unit consists of 12 beds across 3 rooms with a daily census of 3 to 6 patients, utilizing Epic as its charting system and providing free parking for staff.
