RN Mother Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum

Job Details:

* Rotating shifts with various days of the week
* Minimum 1 year of Mother Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum specialty experience required
* Travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP
* Valid RN license (state or compact) required
* Call required per unit needs, averaging 1-2 call shifts per 6-week schedule
* Weekend shifts required per unit needs; nights require minimum 5 Friday/Saturdays and 2 Sundays per six-week schedule
* Float required: Antepartum trained to float to L&D with fetal monitoring experience
* Typical patient ratios: 1:3 couplets or up to 6 patients
* 32-bed unit
* Charting system: Epic (preferred experience)
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Care for postpartum patients who do not require ICU-level care
* High-risk patient population including antepartum patients requiring fetal monitoring experience
* Newborn patients who do not require NICU-level care (2000gm and above)
* Experience with late preterm infants, substance-exposed newborns, and phototherapy required
* Must be comfortable administering magnesium drips, insulin drips, heparin drips, and PCA/PCEA pumps
* Provide breastfeeding support for postpartum patients
* Special equipment includes JADA and Bakri
* Maximum 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
* RTO is not allowed during the following periods: September 2?September 12, 2026; October 25?November 4, 2026; November 22?December 2, 2026; December 20?January 3, 2027
* No blocked scheduling requests permitted
* Self-scheduling unit

The Mother Baby unit is a 32-bed department providing care for postpartum, antepartum, and newborn patients in a supportive, interdisciplinary environment. The unit benefits from robust support services including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, and interpretation services, ensuring high-quality care for both mothers and newborns.
