RN - Acute Care
Job Details:
* Work in an Acute Care unit at Transylvania Regional Hospital in Brevard, NC
* Unit operates with a Team-Based Care model with daily collaboration between MDs, nurses, case management, pharmacist, and PT/OT
* Day and night shifts available with 1 Charge/CNC, 4-5 RNs/LPNs, and 2-3 NAs per shift
* Patient ratios: SD/ICU 2-4:1; Med-Surg 5-6:1 with 2-3 PCTs on floor as appropriate
* Weekend rotation required with 3 Mondays and Fridays per 6-week scheduling period
* Holiday coverage per staffing matrix
* Care for all levels of acuity from Med-Surg to ICU
* Perform IV starts, CVL, arterial lines, Foley catheters, EKG monitoring, and wound care
* Work with equipment including IV pumps, SCDs, Nova Stat glucometer, wound vac, Baxter feeding pump, lift equipment, and Pyxis
* Document using Cerner EMR
* Required certification: BLS
* ACLS must be completed prior to end of orientation
* ICU/Stepdown experience preferred
* Minimum 1 year Med-Surg experience preferred
* Float area: TCU
* Dress code: Navy blue scrubs for nurses; galaxy/royal blue scrubs for NAs
* Must be able to function in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment
