RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* 13 or 26 week contracts available
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* Epic charting system experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, FHM, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate; ACLS preferred
* Staffing ratio of 1:1-3
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, infants, and adults
* Patient diagnoses include labor and preterm labor
* Work within 8 labor rooms and 4 triage rooms
* Perform duties including circulating, OB-GYN, Post-Op, Pre-Op, scrubbing, low risk antepartum, and low risk labor and delivery
* Required special procedures include blood and blood products administration, cardioversion and defibrillation, cooling and warming blanket, drains, epidural pumps, PCA pumps, syringe pumps, wound vac, and administration of heparin, insulin, and magnesium sulfate
* Attend all deliveries including high risk deliveries
* Support GYN surgeries, couplet care, low risk antepartum, and transition nursery
* Required skills include anticoagulation therapy, antihypertensives, assisting with high risk delivery, circulating for C-sections, epidural anesthesia, high risk antepartum, insulin drips, labor and delivery, magnesium sulfate therapy, maintaining central lines, pain assessment and management, recovering C-sections, sterile vaginal exams, triage of obstetrical patients, use of IUPC placement and calibration, use of PCA (IV), and wound assessment and care
* Float required to Post-Partum based on skill set and may be asked to float to First Hill
* Compact license must be in hand at time of submission
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
