Opportunity:

AN - IMCU

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
* 48-hour weekly guarantee
* Block scheduling is never promised or guaranteed
* Floating to other units required
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Treat adult patients (18 years and older) in a 64-bed unit with 15 designated Neuro beds
* Common diagnoses include Neuro, Cardiac, Trauma, Respiratory, COPD, DKA, Sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op cases
* Experience with specialty equipment required including temporary pacer, chest tubes, A-lines, BiPAP, and Neptune Vapo
* Experience with chronic vents required (respiratory therapy available to assist with weaning)
* EMR experience with EPIC required
* Minimum 2+ years of experience in IMCU/PCU required
* Travel experience required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Active NY RN license required with NURSYS verification
* Skills checklist matching specialty required

This healthcare facility operates a large Intermediate Care Unit with 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds, providing specialized care for a wide range of complex medical conditions. The unit is equipped with advanced specialty equipment and supports a diverse patient population with diagnoses ranging from neurological and cardiac conditions to trauma and respiratory cases. The facility maintains a collaborative care approach with respiratory therapy support available for ventilator management.
