Job Details:
* Work in a Labor & Delivery unit with 9 L&D beds, 3 swing rooms, 2 ORs, and a 3-bed OBED
* Patient ratios of 1:2
* 4 weekend shifts per month required
* Float to mother/baby unit or outside department to task as needed
* Patient experience scores must remain above 75%
* Circulate in OR and perform procedures including IUPC, FSE, MgSO4, postpartum hemorrhage management with JADA system, and nitrous oxide administration
* Advanced skills in Spinning Babies and STABLE preferred
* Drive to provide highest quality of care to laboring patients required
* Ability to support patient choice and promote vaginal birth opportunities specific to patient preference required
* Documentation systems used: CPN and Meditech
* Required dress code: Hot pink and black (hot pink top preferred, black bottom acceptable)
* Required certifications: RN, ACLS, BLS, NRP, Fetal Monitoring
Facility:
This facility's Women's Services unit operates under a laborist team model with 24/7 midwives, dedicated CRNA, and OB on call. The unit is supported by a unit secretary and scrub tech and features an 8-bed Level 2 NICU with a neonatal nurse practitioner dedicated to the unit around the clock. The facility personalizes each birth experience to patient desires and needs, performs couplet care in the postpartum unit, and offers donor milk availability to promote breastfeeding. The unit has been recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction in 2021 and serves as a TIPQC Pilot Hospital for NTSV and Team Birth.
